City of York is an interactive real-time project developed as part of the YorEnergy platform, designed to help users explore the benefits of upgrading residential properties through a 3D application. The tool allows users to visualise energy-efficient improvements and understand how different upgrades can enhance comfort, reduce energy usage, and improve overall living conditions. ()
I worked on House 2 within the application, contributing to the creation of a fully interactive environment that demonstrates these upgrades in a clear and engaging way. My role focused on environment assembly, asset placement, and presenting different upgrade scenarios within Unreal Engine to support user interaction and understanding.
The project required a balance between visual quality and real-time performance, ensuring the environment remained both detailed and responsive within an interactive experience. It was a strong example of using real-time technology not just for visualization, but as a tool to communicate practical, real-world benefits to users.
